Pursuant to General Order 499, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California is accepting applications for admission to the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Criminal Defense and Material Witness Defense Panels for the term commencing on December 1, 2021, and expiring on November 30, 2023.
The completed application forms must be submitted electronically between July 19, 2021 and October 18, 2021. Applications received after 4:00 pm on October 18, 2021 will not be considered.
The new panels will begin serving on December 1, 2021. A copy of General Order 499 and application information are available online and at the 4th Floor Intake window in the Clerk's Office located at 333 West Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101.
All attorneys appointed to the CJA Criminal Defense and Material Witness Defense Panels for the 2019-2021 term are required to submit an application in order to be considered for the term beginning December 1, 2021.
