About the Event
Come hear about how to best position yourself to practice law in federal court through the public sector and the importance of diversity in the federal bar! Students will learn about opportunities for externships/internships and newer attorneys will learn about the short and long term benefits of federal public sector litigation experience.
Major stakeholders in the public sector of federal litigation in San Diego—including the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Federal Defender’s Office, the Criminal Justice Act Panel, and federal judges at the U.S. District Court—will briefly discuss what it is like to work in their offices, how to forge a pathway into federal practice, and why diversity in the federal practice is important.
Following brief presentations, there will be an opportunity to meet and learn from numerous folks from the represented offices. We are excited to connect with you!
