About the Event

Learn about the history and rise of Asian American Pacific Islander hate in America and hear lessons learned from the lead trial counsel who fought to overturn the conviction in Korematsu v. United States.

Speakers: Dale Minami, Minami Tamaki LLP, who is best known for heading the legal team that overturned the conviction of Fred Korematsu, whose defiance of the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II led to Korematsu v. United States

Connie Chung Joe, JD, is the Chief Executive Officer of Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles, the nation’s largest legal and civil rights organization for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
