On December 1, 2021, the FBA-San Diego Chapter hosted the judicial law clerks of the Southern District of California for the Annual Holiday Party & Judicial Law Clerk Reception at Athens Market.
The Holiday Party is a long-standing traditional gathering. It is organized to welcome new judicial law clerks and to thank those who have been serving in the District. After the COVID-19 pandemic required the cancellation of last year’s event, this year’s gathering was widely attended by judicial law clerks, judges, and FBA Members. Attendees enjoyed getting to meet and greet the new judicial law clerks, and catching up with colleagues and members of the Southern District's bench.
During the event, Chief U.S. District Judge Dana M. Sabraw thanked the law clerks of the Southern District and stressed how important their work is to the administration of justice in this District. Dylan Aste, the incoming 2022 FBA-San Diego Chapter President, thanked Rebecca Church for her service as Chapter President throughout 2021, highlighting her tremendous leadership of the Chapter throughout 2021. The event was a great start to the Holiday Season.
