The discussion is aimed at exploring the constitutional implications of the decision and how it relates to derailing DEI efforts and its weighty effect on affinity bar organizations, corporate diversity efforts, BIPOC grant programs, and other DEI initiatives, such as the SDCBA-ACC Diversity Fellowship Program.

Calling all volunteers! The Southern District needs attorneys to read and give feedback on short opening and responsive briefs and serve as argument scorers this fall on October 19, 2023. Please contact if you are interested in helping.

Community Updates:


The Southern District amended Local Rule 83.8 regarding the Court's administration of the Pro Bono Fund.


Answer: 1939. It capsized boats, cut power and phone service, destroyed homes

along the coast, and killed nearly 100 people.
