President's Message
Dear San Diego Chapter Members,
As we close 2021, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve the federal family as President of the Federal Bar Association, San Diego Chapter. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our Chapter’s Board of Directors for their stewardship of this organization, to the Advisory Board for their guidance, to the Court for its support, to our speakers and moderators for their knowledge, to our committee members and volunteers for their service, to our members for sustaining this Chapter, and to each of you who attended our events.
At the beginning of this year, I pledged to work diligently to bring you professional, educational, and social events highlighting the diversity of federal practice in San Diego. We achieved that goal by bringing you the Annual Conference: Diversity Toolkit, monthly member spotlights, and a wide range of events and initiatives. We also celebrated our members with new Chapter and National Awards, reconnected with each other in-person at our signature events, and promoted pro bono service, civility, and civics education.
Despite all the challenges of 2021, this Chapter came together and started growing again. I am looking forward to building on this momentum under the leadership of our next Chapter President, Dylan Aste.
Happy New Year! I hope to see you in 2022.
Sincerely,
Rebecca G. Church
President, FBA-San Diego Chapter
