Congratulations to the newly elected members of the San Diego Chapter's Board of Directors - Sanjay Bhandari, Kim Cruz, Jenn French, and Courtney Strange! The Chapter is also pleased to announce that Mary Cile Glover-Rogers will be the 2023 President following Dylan Aste's term as President in 2022. Our Chapter has been nationally recognized by the FBA with a 2021 Chapter Activity, Presidential Excellence Award. This award recognizes superior chapter activities in the areas of administration, membership outreach, and programming. The Chapter also received a Meritorious Newsletter Award, which recognizes the best newsletters published by local FBA chapters, for this monthly update series. Thank you to the Chapter's many committee members and volunteers who made these national awards possible. At the 2021 State of the District & Bartick Award Event, Chief Judge Sabraw, Magistrate Judge Skomal, Chief Bankruptcy Judge Mann, and Ninth Circuit Judge Owens provided informative updates on court operations. Connie Wu is an Assistant U.S. Attorney who serves as the Project Safe Neighborhoods Coordinator for the Southern District of California. Courtney Strange shares that Ms. Wu recognized the power of the law at a young age and continues to be inspired to use the law to serve her local and national community.
