POWER Act: Opportunities for Pro Bono Service Supporting Survivors of Domestic Violence


On August 25, the San Diego FBA and the Lawyer Representatives for the Southern District of California partnered with the United States District Court for the Southern District of California in hosting the the annual POWER Act presentation. The POWER Act of 2018 (Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent Act) is designed to help victims of domestic violence gain access to pro bono legal services. This free webinar provided information about pro bono opportunities available in San Diego to help survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The program was moderated by District Court Judge Cynthia Bashant and featured the below speakers.
