Criminal Legal Skills Series Part II: Litigating and Advocating at Sentencing

On March 18, 2021, the FBA San Diego Chapter presented Part II of its Two-Part Criminal Legal Skills Series: Litigating and Advocating at Sentencing. In a webinar hosted on zoom, panelists discussed effective advocacy at sentencing, including best practices for drafting sentencing briefs and tailoring arguments to judges' preferences.


Hector Tamayo, the Chapter's Vice President of Fundraising, moderated a panel discussion that included the Hon. John A. Houston, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of California; Leila W. Morgan, Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc.; Marietta Geckos, U.S. Attorney's Office; and Adrienne Scott, U.S. Probation Office. The webinar can be viewed on demand.
