September Chapter Update

As an all-volunteer organization, the San Diego Chapter's success depends on its Board of Directors and the many members who donate their time. There will be four positions available on the Board of Directors, and we encourage interested candidates to apply. The Chapter is looking for dedicated individuals who can help the organization achieve its mission. Candidates must submit a Statement of Interest by September 27.

The FBA's commitment to justice includes supporting positions that promote the functioning of our federal judicial system. With seven out of thirteen judicial seats empty within the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, there is a pressing need to fill these vacancies to ensure prompt adjudications and justice. The San Diego Chapter recently urged Senators Diane Feinstein and Alex Padilla to help fill these vacancies and consider proposed legislation that adds needed judgeships to the Southern District.

This month, we hope you will join us for a virtual brown bag and read about one of our many terrific members.
