On October 21, 2020, the San Diego Chapter hosted the second part of its three-part series on civility in the law: "Civility Series Part II: Maintaining Civility Throughout Litigation." Hosted on Zoom, the webinar addressed best practices for civility during litigation, including for e-mailing opposing counsel, conducting depositions, and seeking judicial intervention.

The panel of speakers included the Hon. Irma E. Gonzalez (Ret.), the former Chief Judge of the Southern District who is a Mediator/Arbitrator for JAMS; Randall E. Kay, a Partner in Jones Day's Intellectual Property practice group; and Patricia P. Hollenbeck, a Partner at Duane Morris who practices commercial and business litigation. Webinar attendees submitted questions during the program. Approximately 135 people viewed this event live. To access written materials from the event, visit www.fbasd.org/cle-materials.
